Born in Compton, Leticia Llesmin is a Mexican American hair and makeup artist whose work has taken her around the world. Shaped by underground music and art scenes, she blends soft and dark aesthetics with a refined, instinctive edge. Her work lives in contrast: romantic and raw, polished and unruly.

Before pursuing hair and makeup professionally, Leticia worked as a graphic designer, played in bands, and co-founded a DIY art and music space in Echo Park. Those experiences shape her approach to beauty and her understanding of the relationship between sound, style, and identity.

Her work now spans music, fashion, editorial, touring, and live performance. She approaches beauty as a form of storytelling, using hair, makeup, and movement to create a visual language around the person at its center. Moving fluidly between session styling and behind-the-chair precision, she creates tour looks and evolving visual identities while offering transformative color, grooming, and makeup.

She has collaborated with some of today’s most celebrated and visually distinctive artists and performers, including The Marías, Brandi Carlile, Mitski, Weyes Blood, Stromae, Wallows, Japanese Breakfast, Angel Olsen, and Not For Radio. Her work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Vogue, ELLE, Numéro, PAPER, NYLON, Schön!, Harper’s Bazaar, Billboard, and other international publications.

In 2015, Leticia founded DUSTED, a private studio in Elysian Valley, Los Angeles, that reimagines the traditional salon. Intimate, collaborative, and quietly powerful, it’s a space where beauty, music, art, and identity intertwine. Clients experience thoughtful, personalized styling in a setting that feels both elevated and grounded.

Across each part of her work, the approach remains the same: intuitive, expressive, and rooted in storytelling.
