Introducing Tears – A Visual Ode to Emotion

I’m thrilled to share Tears, a cathartic short film starring the incredibly talented Sierra Ferrel and Ozzie Juarez. Directed by  Zinzi GuGu Johnson, this piece invites viewers to immerse themselves in the raw, unspoken power of tears. With an evocative score by Andew Yee, Tears intentionally steps away from conventional storytelling. There’s no structured narrative—just a pure, unfiltered exploration of the emotions that flow through us all.

My role in this project focused on bringing each character’s visual expression to life through hair and makeup. Every detail was crafted to echo the film’s essence, adding layers to this delicate journey through vulnerability.

Feelings, the larger project to which Tears belongs, will continue to delve into different emotions, and I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing all the wonders it will reveal. Currently, Tears is screening at the Fresh Grass Festival at Mass MoCA, where it’s already making waves.
